  The purpose of the grant is to provide institutional support to Roma National Center, in order to continue its activities related to the empowerment of Roma communities and strengthening the capacities of Roma NGOs in Moldova. The aim of Roma National Center is to empower local Roma NGOs by developing a viable and more sustainable network between them; by transferring the experience of the Roma National Center to others as well as by helping and assisting them in fundraising. The project will be implemented for the period of: 1 April 2011 – 31 March 2012. Following activities will be undertaken: · Debate clubs –. There will be organized around 10 workshops in Univeristy Centres such as ULIM (Free University from Moldova). These are workshops for young roma and non-roma people to help them to develop build skills of tolerance and motivation to get involved in public discussion as well give them a broader understanding about diversity, multiculturalism, intercultural dialogue that is a central pillar for young generation supported by the Council of Europe so-called „white-paper” in the context of existence public policies. · Roma NGOs tranings – dedicated to strengthen the capacities of pro-roma NGOs active locally and nationally in becoming competitive for accessing funds and have goodrecords in implementing a project ensuring a good project management, etc. There will be 2 trainings as such in 2 different localities, one and one north. · Roma Coalition meeting – for 2011 there is forseen a new Action Plan on Roma to be adopted by the Moldovan Government.
